Estrus Tucker is an Independent Consultant and Master Facilitator designing and leading engagements, trainings and retreats in support of personal, professional & community renewal, transformational leadership
and non-violent reconciliation. Estrus is a seasoned practitioner of the Center for Courage & Renewal’s Circle of Trust® approach, Habits of the Heart® (as developed by Parker Palmer, PhD) and other models of civic engagement, leadership, organizational and community development and renewal.
Estrus is currently leading and designing national Academies for Leaders Retreats, and retreats designed for Faith Leaders, Educators, Community Leaders, Non-Profit Leaders and Activists. Estrus is currently the lead & principal consultant with the City of Worth’s Race and Culture Initiative, guiding and resourcing the City’s comprehensive efforts to ensure Racial Equity. The Fort Worth plan focuses on Community Conversations, Assessing Racial Disparities, and Leadership Training. Estrus serves as a Facilitator, Faculty, Equity HUB Co-Chair and member of the National Leadership Team for the Institute for Health Improvement (IHI) 100 Million Healthier Lives Initiatives. He was the lead designer of the Winter Institute's "Welcome Table" Model for Racial Reconciliation used all over Mississippi and New Orleans to engage diverse residents and leaders in community collaboration.
Estrus' current Board service includes the National Center for Courage & Renewal Board (Past Chair), Winter Institute for Racial Reconciliation at University of Mississippi and the Brite Divinity School Board of Visitors. He is a Vietnam-era Veteran, an ordained minister active in interfaith and ecumenical initiatives, and an alumnus of the University of Texas at Arlington, Leadership Fort Worth, and the John Ben Shepherd Texas Public Leadership Forum. Estrus is the recipient of the 2012 recipient of the International Assoc. Of Human Rights Agencies (IAOHRA) Individual Achievement Award for his work and leadership in support of creative civic engagement and transformational leadership in Mississippi; Belfast, Northern Ireland; Cape town, S. Africa and Texas.
