Special Needs Assistance Program SNAP will be decommissioned March 31st
The SNAP program is in the process of being decommissioned by the City of Fort Worth. Current users of the SNAP program are encouraged to register for
Community Connect which is replacing
SNAP.
Fort Worth Community Connect
Community Connect is a City of Fort Worth sponsored program where you can give first responders helpful information to help them before an emergency happens at your home. You can give them information such as:
- your residence type - house, apartment, etc.
- do you have fire sprinklers?
- designated family meeting locations
- who is your emergency contact?
- are there potential hazards such as chemicals?
- where are occupants located (kids, elderly, the sick)
- does anyone have mobility or functional needs requiring additional assistance
- type of pets and how many (upload photos so we know what type of pet we are searching for)
- where would your pets hide if they're scared
How to Register for Community Connect
All information you provide is completely voluntary. Your data is kept secure with bank-level encryption and security. It is only used to better serve you prior and during an emergency. How to Register for Texas STEAR Program
Residents of surrounding cities can register for Texas STEAR Program. STEAR is a State of Texas sponsored program and it is a free registry that provides local emergency planners and emergency responders with addtional information on the needs in their community. To sign up follow this link:
