Fugitive Unit

The Fugitive Unit consists of a Sergeant and eight officers. Members of the Fugitive Detail are responsible for the serving of all felony and misdemeanor arrest warrants originating from within the Fort Worth Police Department. They also respond to teletypes and requests from other law enforcement agencies requiring the service of arrest warrants; as well as the extradition and transfer of Fort Worth Police Department prisoners arrested in other jurisdictions.

The Fort Worth Police Crime Stoppers coordinator is also under the supervision of the Fugitive Sergeant. The Crime Stoppers program is a non-profit organization dedicated to solving the unsolvable crimes in our community. It is a cooperative effort between the citizens of Tarrant County, the local law enforcement agencies and the local media of the Metroplex. The goal is to generate anonymous tips from the community, which solve felony crimes, apprehend wanted felons and make our community a safer place for all.
